Stormy Daniels, the porn star at the center of the criminal trial against former US President Donald Trump, testified on Tuesday about an alleged sexual encounter she had with Trump in 2006. The trial revolves around accusations that Trump falsified business records to reimburse his lawyer, Michael Cohen, for a $130,000 payment made to Daniels as hush money just before the 2016 election.

During her testimony, Daniels provided detailed accounts of the encounter, discussing Trump’s attire, the sexual position, and the absence of a condom. Trump has consistently denied the allegations and his defense team attempted to have a mistrial declared. However, the trial continues as scheduled.

The courtroom face-off between Daniels and Trump comes just months before the next presidential election, in which Trump is seeking to defeat Democratic President Joe Biden. Daniels also shared her background, including her difficult childhood in Louisiana, her time as a stripper, and her entry into the adult film industry.

According to Daniels, she met Trump at a golf tournament where she was working as a greeter for an adult movie company. She described Trump’s interest in adult movies and his suggestion that she appear on his reality television show, “The Apprentice.” Daniels stated that she met with Trump on multiple occasions but cut off contact when it became clear she would not be featured on the show.

After Trump announced his candidacy for president, Daniels said her publicist connected her with a lawyer who negotiated a non-disclosure agreement on her behalf. She was paid $130,000 as part of the agreement, which prevented her from discussing the alleged affair.

During the trial, Trump’s attorney objected to some of Daniels’ testimony, including her claim that she was threatened in 2011 by a man warning her not to talk about Trump. The attorney requested a mistrial, but the judge denied the motion.

The trial is ongoing, and Trump is under a partial gag order that prohibits him from publicly attacking witnesses, the jury, or court staff. The judge has already fined him for breaching the gag order and warned of potential jail time for future violations.

The testimony of Stormy Daniels and the trial itself have garnered significant media attention due to the high-profile nature of the case and its potential implications for Trump’s political future. The trial is expected to continue as both sides present their arguments and evidence.
