Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has returned to the studio following his release from police custody. Portable, who was arrested for defaulting on the payment plan for his G-Wagon SUV, shared a snippet of his upcoming song titled “Spiderman” as a response to his arrest.

The song, produced by 2tuponthebeat, references the singer’s ability to “fly” and escape arrest by jumping over a gate. A video of the incident went viral, showing Portable dressed in a white and black stripe shirt, climbing over the gate before fleeing. After spending 24 hours in custody, the “Zazuu” crooner was released on bail. This is not the first time Portable has found himself in a controversial situation.

He was arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for cursing and rough handling some policemen in two viral video clips. He was subsequently invited for questioning, but he refused to comply. As a result, the police issued a 72-hour ultimatum and eventually arrested him. In another incident, Portable was arrested by policemen in Ogun State and later faced five counts of assault and stealing at the Ifo Magistrates’ Court. He was remanded at the Ilaro Correctional Centre but was later released on bail. Portable’s career has been marked by controversy, and his recent arrest has once again put him in the spotlight.
