Nigeria: Governor Soludo says Nigeria is a poor nation

Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has recognized President Bola Tinubu for his boldness to end fuel subsidies.

Soludo, who talked on Tuesday during the ninth (seventh Quadrennial) Delegates Conference  of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Anambra State wing, portrayed the evacuation of sponsorship as the need should arise.

Soludo expressed that the evacuation could re-engineer the country’s economy.

He said: ” It’s about time the nation awakened to the truth that it is an unfortunate nation and started to live inside its means.

“Beginning from those in authority, there was a need to start to live and show to individuals that Nigeria is an unfortunate country.

“The truth of the endowment evacuation impacted everyone, not simply government employees. The current organization’s arrangement to pad the impacts was sweeping, including quick and medium-term endeavors.”

Soludo said that his government would hire more teachers and keep providing citizens with affordable and high-quality education.
