Yesterday, the Edo State Police Command paraded Victor Ochonogor, a 400-level University of Port Harcourt student suspected to be a “Yahoo boy,” who allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in his Benin City home.

The occurrence was said to have occurred at 10, Osahon Road, Ogheghe Quarters, off Sapele Street, Benin City.

Ochonogor and his late sweetheart were said to have locked themselves inside the house when the brutality broke out and the episode was accounted for to the police by his landlord.

The matter was reported to the police around 4 p.m. on August 21, 2023, and they acted immediately, the Commissioner of Police, Dankwara Mohammed, said while praising the suspect at the police command.

The suspect, Ochonogor, age, 25, said: ” She accused me of kidnapping despite the fact that I have been dating her for three years. When we’ve been together for such a long time, I questioned her as to why she was making such an accusation against me.

“I’m not a criminal and a portion of the individuals from her family know me well indeed.”

Ochonogor said he didn’t kill his sweetheart since he was desirous that she needed to get hitched to another man.
