Nigeria: Family looks for N7m for three-year-old’s heart surgery

The family of a three-year-old hole in-heart patient, Chidinma Michael, is requesting N7m for surgery.

 Born October 11, 2020, in the Egbeda area of Lagos, Chidinma was said to have fallen basically sick at three weeks old and the guardians were stunned when doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, affirmed her with an hole in the heart.

Her troubled mother, Angela, lamented that Chidinma’s case required a medical procedure.

 Angela said, “My little girl ended up being sick at three weeks old. My better half and I returned her to the clinic where she was conceived. The specialists conceded her for quite a while then they alluded us to LASUTH, Ikeja.

 “My husband lost his employment when I was three months pregnant because of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

 “The specialist said no one but medical procedure can close the opening. N7m is the bill. That is large cash. We don’t have that sort of cash.”

 Angela added that while conceded at LASUTH for multi week at three years old weeks, “the specialists inspected her and let us know that a test would be led on her in light of the sound they could hear. We were unable to collect the cash for the test. Thus, the clinic released us.

 “We returned home just for her circumstance to decline. We surged her back to LASUTH. We have taken her to various medical clinics.”

 A family delegate, Belele David, said despite the fact that Chidinma was put on oxygen and had a blood bonding, she was unable to finish the test since her family couldn’t raise the bill.

 To save little Chidinma, the family pursued for gifts.
