Nigeria: 27-Year-Old Man Allegedly Kills Father, Removes His Eye in Abia State

In a shocking incident that has left the community of Umuahia North council, Abia State, in disbelief, a 27-year-old man, identified as Chinalu Ogbonna, has been arrested for allegedly killing his father, Maduka Ogbonna, and gruesomely removing his left eye.
The incident occurred at midnight on Monday at a compound opposite Junior Secondary School, Amuzukwu, in Umuahia North council. The motive behind the gruesome act is still unclear, but it’s been reported that the suspect confessed to wanting to use his father’s body parts for ritual purposes.
The Abia State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, was contacted for further information, but as of now, there has been no response.
The community is in shock and mourning over this horrific incident, and it serves as a reminder of the darkness that can lurk within individuals and the need for vigilance and community support in combating such heinous acts.
