A violent clash occurred in the Ojodu area of Lagos State between police officers and commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders. The clash erupted when the police were enforcing a ban on motorcycles in the state. The police used tear gas canisters to disperse the protesting riders, leading to a confrontation and reports of injuries. The clash resulted in road closures and residents staying indoors to avoid the violence. The police officer in charge confirmed the raid and mentioned that tear gas was used to prevent a breakdown of the law.
