The Enugu State Police Command has recently arrested two suspects, Emeka Fidelis and Sochima Okpara, in different locations across the state. The suspects were found in possession of firearms and ammunition. Emeka Fidelis was arrested in Ogbeke Nike with a cut-to-size locally-made double-barrelled pistol, while Sochima Okpara was apprehended in Trans-Ekulu with a Beretta pistol loaded with eight rounds of live ammunition.

Preliminary investigations indicate that Sochima Okpara is a member and kingpin of the Apache Tiger confraternity and has been involved in several criminal activities in Enugu. The suspects will be arraigned in court and prosecuted once investigations are concluded. The Commissioner of Police, Kanayo Usuegbu, has emphasized the commitment of the command to ensuring the safety of citizens. The public is encouraged to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the command’s hotlines and email.
