Nigeria: “Police Apprehend Five Suspected Kidnappers in Lagos Amidst Crackdown on Criminal Activities”

The Lagos State Police Command arrested five suspected kidnappers responsible for criminal activities in the state.

 They also recovered arms and ammunition during the operation. The suspects were involved in a kidnapping case where a victim was abducted, extorted, and later released after paying ransom.

 Additionally, the command apprehended 64 suspects for various crimes, including cultism, armed robbery, unlawful possession of firearms, and drug-related offenses. Numerous items were seized, including firearms, ammunition, vehicles, and illicit drugs. 

The police commissioner, Adegoke Fayoade, provided details of the arrests and highlighted efforts to address criminal activities in specific areas of the state. Temitope Aina, a reporter covering crime, court, and city news for Metro, contributed to the report.
