Controversial cross-dresser Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison for the abuse of naira notes, is still being held in the Ikoyi prison and has not been moved to the Kirikiri Prison.
The officials stated that Bobrisky did not commit a capital offense that would warrant his transfer to a maximum prison where inmates serving life and death sentences are usually kept. The possibility of moving some inmates across custodial centers in the state is being considered for decongestion purposes, but no decision has been made yet.
