Nigeria: Anambra police kill three suspects who purportedly shot cops dead

The Anambra State Police Command has announced that they have successfully killed three members of a gang who were responsible for the attack and killing of two police officers in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State. 

The gang members were located and eliminated during a raid on their camp in Ogboji, Orumba South Local Government Area. This operation was carried out based on intelligence gathering and a manhunt. The gang had also launched another attack in the area on Tuesday,

 but security officers were able to dislodge them and rescue a kidnapped victim. During the raid, the police recovered a Lexus Jeep, four Improvised Explosive Devices, two pump-action rifles, and 16 live cartridges from the gang members. 

The Commissioner of Police assured the public that the manhunt for the assailants and all criminal elements in the state will continue, as the command remains committed to ensuring the security of the state.
