Nigeria: A’Ibom mob sets robbery suspects, tricycle ablaze

Two suspected thieves were on Wednesday lynched by a mob in the Udo Obio area of Iboko in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State capital.

PUNCH Metro accumulated that the two suspects were important for a three-man group that denied occupants and suburbanites of their resources while en route to work.

The three suspects were supposedly pursued they had burglarized a few workers utilizing a tricycle.

One of them, who is as of now on the loose, was said to have landed from the tricycle and gotten away while the excess two were gotten and quickly set on fire alongside the tricycle utilized for their activity.

An occupant of the area, Nnamso Inyang, affirmed the improvement in a phone interview with our journalist.

Inyang said, “When I came outside, they were consuming two individuals. They were blamed for taking from workers. They utilized a tricycle to deny workers of their telephones toward the beginning of today.

“As they were heading out, certain individuals who were pursuing them pushed their tricycle and the tricycle had a minor accident. In this way, they got out of the tricycle and endeavored to run. They were sought after and were in the end gotten.”

Another onlooker, Iboro Wilson, said criminals had been threatening inhabitants of the area recently.

“Indeed, it happened earlier today. They were gotten after they had denied certain individuals of their resources and were singed to death,” he said.

Pictures that became a web sensation via online entertainment showed the tricycle and the suspects consuming while certain people were watching from a protected distance.

Reached, the state Police Advertising Official, SP Odiko Ogbeche-Macdon, said he didn’t know about the occurrence.

 “I’m not mindful of it. I don’t have the data,” Ogbeche-Macdon just said.
