Nigeria: Delta teen fakes kidnap, requests N2m from parents

The Delta State Police Command has made it clear that they have detained a teen who, along with his friends, staged his own kidnapping and demanded N2 million as a ransom from his parents.
He said, “The suspect, Ade Segun, arranged his own abducted close by two of his companions, Valuable and Nonso, called Ade’s folks, and requested the amount of N2,000,000.
“The guardians revealed at the police headquarters in Warri, where a lady police cooperated, professing to pay the payment cash.
“When the undercover officers arrived at the location, they set up an ambush, and one of them came to pick up the money; he was rounded up and arrested; he took them to the hideout where Ade and his other friend were arrested and confessed that it was all planned,” according to the statement.
