Introducing AK as Gambias Upcoming rising Artist 2023!
Mr Abubacarr Kamara goes by the artist name AK.
AK is only 20 years old and was born in Bundung but raised in Tallinding, The Gambia.
AK being the eldest of his siblings explained to mamosmedia how he fell in love with musical instruments at the tender age of 8, inspired by his dad who was also a music lover and who played afro music to him every morning whilst preparing him for school.
AK’s passion for music rapidly increased when he was in junior school where he begun writing a lot of lyrical songs.
He embarked on his music career in 2020 by releasing his first single MY LOVER . AK’s first live concert (Gang Badness Concert) was in October 2020 became a successful massive sell out in his hometown of Tallinding.
AK graduated in the year 2021 at Charles Fowlis S.S.S. Upon completing high-school, he went on further to do 6 months IT classes & a 3 months performing arts entrepreneurship program which he completed and became certified.
AK released his first debut Extended Playlist titled Harijeh The Ep which consist of 7 songs featuring big collaborations with artists like Attack, Tee, & Uchee and an Ep launching in the first quarter of 2023 at Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
