State House, Banjul, 17th February 2023: The public is hereby notified that Saturday, 18th
February, and Monday, 20th February 2023, are public holidays throughout the country to mark the
Republic of The Gambia’s 58th Independence Anniversary celebration.
The celebration will take place at the McCarthy Square in Banjul on Saturday, 18th February 2023.
The Security Forces, schoolchildren, and voluntary organisations will attend the parade.
Excellency President Adama Barrow will take the salute and address the gathering. All guests are
kindly requested to be seated at 9:00 a.m.
The Office of the President seizes this opportunity to wish all Gambians, home and abroad, a happy
58th-anniversary celebration.
