Gambians in Switzerland are protesting against police brutality, following the arrest, detention and subsequent death in police custody of one Lamin Fatty in Switzerland.
According to sources, Lamin Fatty was arrested in Laussane, Switzerland last Sunday and he died in police custody.
The protesters said the police in Switzerland are very brutal and they always beat and harrass immigrants and refugees in Swiss.
According to the Gambian protesters in Lussane, the police were looking for one Lamin Fatty who has the same name as the deceased but they arrested the wrong person and detained him. Both the deceased and the suspect have the same name and are both Gambians.
The Gambian authorities must be informed about this unfortunate incident and there should be an investigation into the death of the deceased.
