
US: At the Miami indictment hearing, Donald Trump leaves the courtroom after pleading not guilty to federal criminal charges

At his ongoing arraignment in Miami, Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to charges that he allegedly hid government secrets at his Mar-a-Lago resort and hampered efforts by the federal government to retrieve them.
Donald Trump’s visit to the renowned midtown Miami restaurant Versailles, where he was welcomed by allies, was pre-arranged and part of his team’s attempt to control his picture, HuffPost’s SV Dáte composes.
Maggie Haberman of the New York Times points out that Trump is determined to fight the battle in the court of public opinion for as long as possible, which includes having Walt Nauta, his co-defendant, nearby today.
He was surrounded by supporters who prayed for him. Someone yelled, ” Jesus is fond of you!
Trump waved to the crowd with a smile and declared, Everyone’s food!” Applause and cheers erupted from the audience. One shouted, Sir, keep fighting!
The patrons then broke out in a chorus of “Happy birthday, dear Donald, happy birthday to you!” ahead of Trump’s 77th birthday tomorrow.
The ex-president made a comment:
Birthday party! We have an administration that is wild.
After that, he made a few brief remarks regarding “a rigged deal,” stating that “we have a country that is in decline like never before” and promising to speak further tonight in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Someone yelled, ” Thank you, Donald Trump! as he left and returned to his marching band.
