The US and UK evacuate their citizens as Israel continues to bomb Gaza.

The United States and the United Kingdom are among the countries that have begun evacuating their citizens from Israel as shelling of the Gaza Strip continues.

The US government will reportedly begin arranging charter flights and shipping routes for Americans captured in Israel.

Israel has been pursuing retaliatory attacks on the Hamas-held Gaza Strip since Hamas militants attacked Israeli communities on Saturday.

State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller announced in a statement Thursday that the government will begin transporting Americans and their immediate family members from Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday.

The voyage was stated to be from Haifa, Israel, on the Mediterranean coast, to Cyprus.

“The overall security situation, the availability and reliability of commercial transportation, and the demands of the American public will all impact the duration of this exit assistance,” Miller said.

Meanwhile, U.S. personnel in Gaza are unable to provide routine or emergency services to U.S. personnel in Gaza, as the State Department said, “Due to the travel ban for U.S. government personnel, we are unable to provide routine or emergency services to U.S. personnel in Gaza.” I couldn’t leave. Hamas, a US-designated foreign terrorist organization, controls Gaza’s security infrastructure. The security environment in the Gaza Strip and its border areas is dangerous and unstable.”

Similarly, the UK Foreign Office has confirmed that the UK Government is arranging flights to evacuate stranded British nationals from Israel. Stated.

The first plane left Tel Aviv late Thursday, with further departures expected in the coming days “depending on the security situation.”

They stressed that those allowed to leave should be contacted directly and that British nationals should not go to the airport unless specifically asked to do so.

A team of British diplomats trained in crisis management has already been sent to Israel to support British nationals.

However, in recent days British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, EasyJet, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Air France, Lufthansa and Emirates have suspended operations.

Government-sponsored flights are chartered by the Foreign Office, but as they are commercial services there is a fee of £300 (or approximately €347) per passenger.
