In a tragic incident, the family of Taiwo Owoeye, a former ophthalmic nurse at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, is mourning her death in Suffolk, United Kingdom. Taiwo was allegedly strangled to death by her husband, David Abodunde, on November 28. The mother of three had reported an assault by her husband to the police the day before her death. When the police visited their apartment, they found Taiwo lifeless on the living room floor, and despite efforts to revive her, she was declared dead.

The deceased’s brother, Alex Owoeye, stated on Facebook that, based on police investigations, David was declared the sole murderer.
The couple’s three children are currently under the care of UK social services. Alex Owoeye urged family members to remain calm, assuring them that justice would be served. Another relative, Opeyemi Owoeye, called for justice on her Facebook page, stating that Taiwo was killed by her own husband.
