Security personnel in URR are investigating the cause of the death of the deceased. However, a source who spoke to The Point anonymously said: “We don’t think there was any foul play in the death of the Sierra Leonean national. We believe it’s just a natural death.”

The deceased, our source in Basse added, was found dead on Sunday 9th April 2023 between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

“The deceased was found death between the two villages in the Kantora District of URR, and around the border between Gambia and Senegal. School subjects’ time table and small simple phone and a cash amount of D522 including 10,500 CFA were found in his possession,” the source posited.
