Suspected herdmen attack Benue community and kill PPRO relatives

A total of seven persons, including three cousins ​​of SP Catherine Annene, Spokesperson of the State Police Command, were reported to have been killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

The attacks are said to have occurred in Sengeb area of ​​Mbachohon parliamentary area and Tse Gambah area of ​​Nagi district, all in Gweru West Local Government Area of ​​Benue State.

Residents told our correspondent that herders attacked their communities in swift and coordinated attacks on Sunday.
An indigene, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “Four people were killed in Tse Gambel, Sengeb local government area, and three others were killed in Nagi camp, Mbachohon local government area, along the Naka-Agagbe road.” he said. He said several people were injured in the attack on the community.

Police spokeswoman Katherine Annen confirmed the attack and said: “This is my village. Three of my cousins ​​were killed and that’s the total.”
