The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State has successfully obtained a six-month jail term for Kolajo Damilare, convicted of stealing household items from Razaq Salaudeen in Abeokuta.
NSCDC Commandant David Ojelabi confirmed the conviction, stating that Damilare was apprehended during a routine patrol on November 15, 2023. After confessing to the theft of a refrigerator, stabilizer, and security light, Damilare was handed over to the NSCDC. Following a swift investigation, he was arraigned before Isabo Magistrate Court and sentenced to six months in prison or a fine of N150,000. The prosecution was carried out under the NSCDC’s authority granted by the Attorney General of Ogun State.
