Senegal Independence Celebration: Ousmane Tanor Dieng Denied Access To The Official Gallery Due To Lateness

The leader of the Senegalese Socialists Party (PS) who is also President of the High Council of Territorial Authorities (HCT), Ousmane Tanor Dieng, was Thursday, April 4, 2019, denied access to the Official Gallery at the Independence Ground along Boulevard du Général de Gaulle, where the Senegalese president Macky Sall and many dignitaries were seated due to lateness.
According to Senegalese Press Afrik media, the renowned politician Ousmane Tanor Dieng, came late after the President Macky Sall was already seated and the security and protocol officers denied him access to the high table.
Reasons for his lateness was however not known and Tanor Dieng was simply pushed to the exit door.
Senegal observed its 59th Independence anniversary along the Boulevard du Général de Gaulle, with a parade march of the security forces, school children and a cross-section of the civil society.
