REV J.C Faye Memorial School graduates 146 students

Rev J.C Faye Memorial School, a senior secondary school located in Banjul on Thursday graduated 146 students during a colorful ceremony held at Banjul.

The ceremony was characterized by music, poetry and choreographic. It was attended by ex-students of the school, graduands, current students, School’s Board Members, among others.

During the graduation, grade 12 students were presented with certificates, and a deserving teacher awarded for his key role in the school’s sports development.

Binta Njie-Jatta, guest speaker of the graduation commended the administration of Rev J.C Faye Memorial School for creating an enabling environment for students as well providing quality education for the students over the past.  

Speaking further, Mrs Njie-Jatta advised the grandaunds to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth never shy away from pursuing their passion.

“Let your education be the foundation upon which you build your dreams and aspirations,” she said, adding: “as you step out into the world beyond these walls, remember that you carry the legacy of Rev. JC Faye Memorial School. You are now armed with the tools and knowledge to make a profound difference in the world.”

“Embrace the responsibility, cherish your education, and let it guide you on your path to greatness,” she advised.

She advised the outgoing students to cherish their education and let the academic career guide their success in life.  

 Mamie Anna Colley, an outgoing student thanked the school and its management for supporting them during their time in the school. She further thanked The Gambia government through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) for its efforts in providing education to them.

She however, advised the current students to maintain discipline, remain patient and work harder to ensure they attain their goals in the school.
