The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad, Dr. Mamadou Tangara, early Wednesday morning received in his office in Banjul the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to The Gambia.
His Excellency Ambassador Aldosary Fahad, first presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to Foreign Minister Tangara before the two sides got into closed-door meeting. He was later accompanied by Foreign Minister Tangara to the Presidency where he finally presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of The Gambia, H.E Adama Barrow.
Shortly after the closed-door meeting with President Barrow, Ambassador Fahad told waiting journalists the importance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia attaches to the historic bilateral relations with The Gambia. He said the ties between Banjul and Riyadh will grow from strength to strength.
