“My first priority is unity among West Coast because without unity, we cannot do anything. Unity is the key thing I want to bring to WCR so that all will work together irrespective of tribe, political difference or religion,” she told journalists shortly after presenting her nomination documents to Commissioner Anthony Robert Secka at Brikama IEC office.
Speaking further, Madam Bah said if empowered, BAC will empower youth and women of WCR so that they attain their aspirations and become productive citizens.
Madam Bah is competing with Yankuba Darboe, candidate of the UDP, Sheriff Seedy Ceesay of the ruling NPP party, independent candidate Ahmed Gitteh and others.
Madam Bah is however optimistic of victory in the upcoming elections, saying “the main thing why I am optimistic about is because I am a woman and women form the majority voters. And I think they will take this opportunity to vote for a woman this time.”
During her nomination process, Mr Anthony Robert Secka, the IEC Commissioner in the WCR, advised her to obey the IEC rules and regulation as well exercise maximum political ethics in the cause of the campaign to ensure peaceful elections.
