
Police arrests four in relation to ruminant theft case

Police officers at the Janmbanjelly Check Point in the West Coast Region (WCR) have arrested four people in connection to ruminant theft.
The arrest was made following a search by police at the aforementioned checkpoint on a commercial taxi and found goats in it.
“In the searching exercise, three goats were found in the trunk of the taxi with registration number WCR 3981B,” Police said in a statement.
It added: “The three suspects are all residents of Brikama Gidda, and ages between 18 and 23 years.”
According to the police, another 40-year-old man, has also been arrested.
“The arrestees were cautioned, and charged by the police,” police noted.
However, the police reminded the public of its hotline number: 117 for any emergency.
