People of Enenuruhiye and Ennuwe communities in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State have alerted Governor Obolewori over the collapsed Enenuruhiye/Ennuwe bridge connecting the two communities by an east-west road.
They fervently implored the Governor to urgently come to their aid and repair the bridge that reportedly collapsed on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
It also called on the Governor to repair damaged sections of bridges on access roads to ease the burden on motorists on the roads.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Wilson Macaulay, a community leader in the area, a copy of which was made available to journalists in Warri on Sunday.
While local residents beg the governor to use his goodwill to urgently intervene in their plight, it is important to note that the collapse of the bridge and damaged sections of the access road have caused severe damage to the economic and social lives of the residents. lamented.

“This bridge is very important to us because it connects the entire community of Isoko to the popular east-west road. Therefore, we cannot be without them. Therefore, the situation appears to be in need of urgent attention, so without getting emotional, we compassionately appeal to the Governor to hear our cries and come to our aid immediately.

“We wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Governor for the urgent dispatch of the Commissioner for Construction, Rural Areas and Riverine Regions, Charles Aniagu, to repair the collapsed Enenuruhiye/Enweh Bridgehead, especially in the interest of the people of Isoko.
