Nigeria: Two women reported dead after church collapses in Osun

Two women were reported dead on Thursday when a building used as a church collapsed in Ikirun, the headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State.
The deceased was one of four people trapped under rubble when the building collapsed on Wednesday night, according to the investigation results.
The building appears to be still under construction, and workers were visible at the time of the collapse.
Confirming the incident on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, Mr. Kehinde Adeleke, said the building located behind Eweta Community Primary School collapsed around 7pm on Wednesday. Ta.
She added that the four victims buried under the rubble were rescued by concerned local residents and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Two of the rescued victims, including the building owner, died in hospital on Thursday,” it added.
