In a deeply distressing turn of events, a member of the Nigerian Army, identified as Boyi ThankGod and attached to the 35 Artillery Brigade in Alamala, Abeokuta, Ogun State, reportedly took his own life by shooting himself in the head. This tragic incident occurred while the nation marked Armed Forces Remembrance Day on Monday, January 15.

Sources within the Army, speaking on the condition of anonymity, disclosed that ThankGod, who was on standby duty at the brigade headquarters, ended his life abruptly.
