01 Jan Nigeria: The ogun state has combat the case of ritual killing

The Ogun State Police Command has announced its plans to combat the rising cases of ritual killings in the society.
The state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, stated that the command will embark on advocacy against the menace in the new year.
He emphasized the need for parents to caution their children against engaging in social vices and warned that the police will not tolerate any form of criminality in the state. The Commissioner of Police also highlighted the challenges of cult clashes in the state and expressed the commitment of the police to arrest and prosecute cultists. He called for stiffer punishment for cultists to deter others from engaging in the activity. In addition to tackling ritual killings and cultism, the police will focus on sensitizing the public and raising awareness about the fallacy of money rituals.
