Nigeria: The kidnapper collects ransom and burys the three-year-old alive
After allegedly kidnapping and burying a three-year-old boy alive, a 30-year-old man named Abubakar Abdulaziz of Sabuwar Santa in the Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State is currently in police custody.
Abdulaziz was said to have covered the kidnapped kid alive in spite of gathering N150,000 out of the N800,000 recover he requested from his dad.
The representative for the Katsina State Police Order, CSP Gambo Isah, affirmed the occurrence on Monday.
Isah said Abdulaziz was captured on Thursday following a clue and had purportedly admitted to having committed the offense.
“The command succeeded in arresting one Abubakar Abdulaziz, 30, of Sabuwar Santa, the Musawa Local Government Area, Katsina State, a suspected kidnapper and killer of a three-year-old child,” the police spokesman explained.
“The fact of the case is that the suspect criminally trespassed into the residence of Adamu Alhassan of Bacirawa village, the Musawa Local Government Area, Katsina State, around 1 a.m. on March 23, 2023, and kidnapped his three-year-old son to an unknown location while he was asleep.
“He dropped a letter providing Adamu Alhassan with a contact phone number and directing him to pay a ransom of N800,000. However, the father was unable to secure the release of his child despite making contact, negotiating, and paying N150,000.
