Nigeria: Teen stabbed to death over possession of slippers

Two men from the Lagos State Police Command have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 13-year-old boy over ownership of rubber slippers.

The order’s representative, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, affirmed the capture to the News Organization of Nigeria on Monday.

According to Hundeyin, the incident occurred on Sunday at Iganmu under the Bridge around 6 p.m.

He stated that a concerned member of the public informed the Ijora Badia Police Division that some youths were forming a group to cause trouble in the Iganmu area.

The crisis, according to the spokesperson, was brought on by the alleged murder of a 13-year-old boy named Ekene.

According to Hundeyin, a patrol team arrived on the spot and found the victim lying in a pool of blood.

According to the PPRO, “Information at the scene indicated that the victim was allegedly stabbed by two boys over a minor issue regarding ownership of rubber slippers,” the victim was allegedly stabbed.

Ahmed, 28, and Umaru Abubakar, 18, were arrested after a credible tip was provided.

He stated that suspects would be discreetly investigated at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti.
