Nigeria: Suspected executioner of Rivers DPO saved from lynching, detained

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command have captured one of the people claimed to be engaged with the killing and execution of the Divisional Police of Ahoada Division in Ahoada East Nearby Government Region, Mr Bako Angbashim, a Superintendent of Police.
In the mean time, the Ogoni ethnic nationality in Rivers State, where Angbashim served before his redeployment to Ahoada, has said they were not individuals that killed five individuals from Angbashim’s loved ones.

However, the Ogonis in an explanation in Port Harcourt, yesterday by the Ogoni People groups Gathering, OPA, said the killed DPO didn’t lose his relatives in that frame of mind as implied.
The head of OPA, Fire up. Probel Williams, said the departed DPO had a generally excellent and cheerful relationship with individuals of Ogoni when he filled in as the DPO of Bori, Khana LGA, adding that his relatives could not have possibly been killed nearby.
