Nigeria: Rivers wife bathes her husband with hot oil

A Rivers woman identified as Hope Nwara is on the run after she allegedly poured hot groundnut oil on her husband, Mr. Ekelediri Nwankwo Nwara over a minor disagreement.
The incident occurred in Okehi Local Government Area of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Mrs Hope Nwara reportedly poured hot peanut oil on her husband while he slept.
It is believed the couple had had a domestic argument before the tragic incident.
The victim, Mr. Nwankwo, who is still fighting for his life, said that his wife’s sister was wearing indecent clothes and he asked her to leave the house, but his wife refused. she said.
He added that his wife attacked him while he was sleeping and poured hot oil on him.
“My wife’s sister started wearing clothes and took over our marital bed even when I was there, so I told her to leave the house.No other young person would tolerate such behavior other than my wife.” “My sister refused to leave the house.”
“I also saw my wife alone with a tall black man in the store I rented. He wasn’t working. He followed my wife and sister. , I had everything that I gave to my sister.” It costs me 2000 naira to go home, so I understand what’s going on at home, but when I go to bed, While I was sleeping, my wife got angry and used boiled peanut oil on me and then started hitting me with a haar.
As of this writing, the State Police Command has not commented on the matter, but to the best of our knowledge, the incident was reported to the Okehi District Police Headquarters in Etche.
