In the period spanning 31 to December 24, , a total of 4,258 security incidents occurred across 573 local government areas in the country, resulting in 5,691 deaths and 2,719 kidnappings. The military managed to rescue 721 kidnapped victims. The data, compiled by Beacon Consulting, highlights the concerning escalation of violence, with monthly breakdowns revealing the magnitude of the crisis. Security expert Jackson Ojo emphasized the need for economic improvement and political will to address the root causes of insecurity in the country.
