In an intense and highly anticipated celebrity boxing fight, Nigerian street-pop artist Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, emerged as the winner after four rounds of intense competition. The fight, which took place at Landmark Beach in Victoria Island, Lagos State, was sanctioned by Heritage Boxing Entertainment.
The feud between Portable and Nollywood actor Charles Okocha began with allegations of contractual issues and an alleged N40 million rip-off. Portable claimed that Okocha cheated him out of the agreed payment, resulting in an online feud between the two.
The fight started after 1 am and lasted for approximately 40 minutes. In the first round, Portable took an early lead with a confident start, showcasing his skills and control over the ring. Wearing a blue pair of knickers and a matching armless top, Portable landed several jabs to Okocha’s body.
However, Okocha made a comeback in the second round, avoiding blows from Portable and gaining ground in the match. Despite Portable’s efforts to retaliate, Okocha’s jabs brought him down, requiring the referee’s intervention.
In the third round, Portable tried to regain momentum by moving around the ring, while Okocha pursued him relentlessly. Portable seized opportunities to counterattack, retaliating against the blows he had endured in the previous round.
By the fourth round, both celebrity boxers were visibly tired. However, Portable managed to surprise Okocha with direct punches, catching him off guard. When the referee called for the fifth round to determine the winner, both fighters declined to continue, leading to Portable’s victory.
