Nigeria: Police start prob as hoodlums burn Rep’s Anambra home

Some yet-to-be-recognized attackers have set on fire the country house of a member addressing Ihiala Government Federal constituency in the House of representatives, Paschal Agbodike.

PUNCH Metro accumulated that the armed hoodlums attacked the house at Ubahi in Mbosi town, Ihiala Neighborhood Government Area of Anambra State around 1am on Tuesday and began shooting aimlessly prior to acquiring entry into the compound where they, from there on set it burning.

Albeit no life was lost, the completely outfitted five-room duplex with four parlors and a kitchen was destroyed by the attackers.

Agbodike, a previous Delegate Speaker of the Anambra State Place of Gathering, affirmed the occurrence to columnists on Tuesday.

He said he was in Abuja when he was advised of the assault, adding that before security agents showed up at the scene, the criminals had escaped.

The government administrator approached the police and other security organizations to examine the episode.

He said, “The duplex of four parlors and five rooms was totally singed and nothing was protected.

“As I’m conversing with you, I’m destitute, my structure was totally singed in the town and everything was gone.

“I got a call around 1am that my home was enduring an onslaught by some outfitted hooligans. They came in enormous numbers as they accessed the compound and copied everything down while shooting aimlessly.

“I lost everything in that house that has five rooms and four parlors. Every one of my reports and different properties were lost in that fiery blaze.”

The state Police Advertising Official, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, additionally affirmed the occurrence.
