08 Jan Nigeria: “Police Launch Probe into Unidentified Woman’s Tragic Death in Lagos Hotel, Manhunt for Lodging Companion”

The Lagos State Police Command has initiated a thorough investigation into the tragic death of an unidentified woman, whose lifeless body was discovered in a hotel room. Confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the case was reported by the hotel manager (identity withheld) to the Trinity Police Station at approximately 6.17 p.m. on Friday.
According to Hundeyin, during a routine check of hotel rooms at 8.00 p.m. on the same Friday, the manager stumbled upon the woman’s lifeless body on one of the beds. In response, a team of detectives promptly visited the scene, cordoned it off, and documented the corpse and the room. The ongoing efforts aim to expedite the evacuation of the deceased’s body to the morgue and identify and locate her relatives.
The police are diligently working to uncover the identity of the unknown man who had reportedly lodged with the deceased and subsequently fled the scene. Their focus is on achieving a potential arrest in connection with the incident.
In other news, recent events include the tragic capsizing of a boat in the River Niger, resulting in five casualties and the rescue of 30 individuals. Additionally, the police have apprehended two pastors in Ogun and Osun states for alleged defilement. Meanwhile, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a consignment of Colorado from the USA.
