Nigeria: Police capture famous ruffian in Nasarawa

According to the Nasarawa State Police Command, Shuaibu Mohammed, also known as Chiyawa, a suspected notorious kidnapper who had been involved in several kidnapping cases in the state, has been apprehended.
The state’s Police Advertising Official, DSP Ramhan Nansel, made the exposure at the order’s central command in Lafia on Thursday while marching 23 different suspects who were captured for different wrongdoings across the 13 Nearby Government Region of the state.
He thanked the members of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit, led by SP Lapshak Lenka, for their tireless efforts to apprehend the alleged kingpin of kidnapping.
Nansel stated that the police command would not hesitate to arrest anyone who disturbs the peace of other state residents and reiterated the command’s commitment to eliminating crime in the 13 LGAs.
He stated, “Based on a tip, operatives of the Command’s Anti-kidnapping unit arrested a kidnap kingpin named Shuaibu Mohammed AKA Chiyawa “M” of Kadarko, Giza Development Area on April 19, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m.”
“The suspect, who the investigation has shown to be the gang leader of a notorious kidnapping syndicate that terrorizes Dadere, Mararaba Akunza, Lafia, Agyaragu, Kadarko, and the surrounding areas, has been on the Command’s wanted list for a variety of kidnapping cases and has been evading arrest before nemesis caught up with him,” the statement reads.
