Nigeria: Police capture Abia minister over woman’s passing in hotel

A minister, Timothy Otu, has been captured by the Abia State Police Control over the demise of a 43-year-elderly person, Bliss Echieze.
Otu of the Agape Evangelical Ministry situated at the Obikabia Intersection in the Obingwa Nearby Government Region of the state is helping the police in the examination to unwind the reason for the woman’s passing in his hotel room.
The state Police Advertising Official, Maureen Chinaka, uncovered this in a proclamation made accessible to columnists on Thursday.
As per her, the minister and the woman stopped in a hotel in Ovom town on August 12, 2023, around 9.23pm.
She said the woman’s stripped dead body was subsequently found in the room around 12 PM without a hint of the minister.
The PPRO said the suspect was subsequently captured and the case was moved to the State Criminal Investigation Division for appropriate investigation.
The assertion read, “On August 13, 2023, around 9.30am, Mr Godwin Akpan living at Celebration Visitor House in Ovom Town, Obingwa Nearby Government Region answered to the Isialangwa Police Division that on the night of August 12, 2023, around 9.25pm, a minister named Timothy Otu related with Agape Fervent Service at Obikabia Intersection in Obingwa LGA, looked into the visitor house alongside a lady named Satisfaction Echieze from Isialangwa LGA, Abia State. Satisfaction Echieze was 43 years old.
“Further subtleties given by Mr Akpan demonstrated that on a similar date, around 12 PM, he went into the lodging of the previously mentioned pastor and found the dead collection of Satisfaction Echieze. She was seen as unclothed, and a white substance was radiating from her mouth and nose. Unfortunately, the priest was missing from the scene.
“Primer examinations have been sent off into this. The departed’s body has been shipped from the area and is as of now at the SDA Morgue in Aba, anticipating a post-mortem examination.
“Moreover, the suspect for this situation has been captured and the case has been moved to the State CID for tactful examinations.”
