Nigeria: Mother bathes son with high temp water for bringing girlfriend home

Maryam Zakari, a housewife, is alleged to have given his son, Babanne Abdulahi, a hot bath for daring to bring his girlfriend home in Cross River State.
The lady was said to have bubbled water with which he showered her son last Thursday, leaving him with serious consumes.
The occurrence occurred at Bogobiri, the Hausa-Fulani neighborhood in the city.
“The lady saw the kid in his room with his girlfriend as opposed to advised him verbally, she chose to soak the young fellow with high temp water. She poured the heated water on his body and yelled out for help,” an observer, Dauda said.
Numerous sympathizers were observed at the scene when Vanguard visited the Babanne’s home, many of whom criticized the woman for her actions.
“It isn’t simply the sweetheart issue but since the child doesn’t dispatch his everyday wages to her yet gives it to his better half,” Dauda said.
For treatment, the victim was rushed to a private clinic in Calabar.
Reached, the state police order Advertising Official, Irene Ugbo, said the matter was at this point to be accounted for to her.
Endeavors to talk with the spouse and the wife demonstrated pointless as the two of them kept mum.
