Donte Elbert, 36, has been arrested 11 times for robbing the same retail establishment.

According to the New York Post, Elbert was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department on Monday. Police say that Elbert robbed the store 11 times between December 2022 and April.

A police statement stated that Elbert was taken into custody on West Belmont Avenue.

A representative of the Chicago Police Department provided Fox News Digital with the following statement: “He was taken into custody b/c he tried to pass the last point of sale… without paying for merchandise.”

The representative went on to say that formal complaints were signed by employees at the store where the suspect robbed, which led to his arrest.

On the 3200 block of N. Broadway, Elbert is also alleged to have taken merchandise from a different location.

The suspect is charged with nine counts of retail theft of merchandise valued at less than $300, three counts of retail theft of merchandise valued at more than $300, and one count of criminal trespassing, all of which are felonies.
