A 28-year-old single mother, Faith Omoruyi, facing allegations of her ex-boyfriend molesting her six-year-old daughter, has defended her ex-partner, Samuel Adams, asserting he was wrongly detained for two months. Omoruyi, a victim of human trafficking, accuses an NGO of framing Adams and exploiting her vulnerability upon her return from Russia.

In an interview with Vanguard, Omoruyi revealed her struggles after returning to Nigeria in 2015, seeking help from the Pathfinder Foundation. She accused the NGO of changing her daughter’s name without consent and later influencing her daughter’s retracted statement about molestation.

Omoruyi pleaded for justice, calling on the Inspector General of Police and Nigerians to intervene in Samuel’s case. The NGO’s founder, Ruth Idahosa, responded that a statement would be provided upon her return, while the FCID Public Relations Officer, Eguaoje Funmilayo, expressed a need for further investigation.
