Nigeria: In Ibadan, a policeman is killed in a fight by “hoodlums.”

At Moniya in the Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State, a heated argument with some alleged “Yahoo boys” was said to have resulted in the death of a police officer.

The incident in the vicinity of King’s College caused panic throughout the region, prompting vehicles to turn around out of fear of being attacked.

“The alleged ‘Yahoo boys’ were in the car when the officers who were on a stop-and-search operation flagged down their car,” stated an eyewitness who did not wish to be identified. They stopped, but nobody knew what happened again between them.
