In a deeply disturbing case that has shocked the nation, the Federal Government has announced a N2 million reward for the arrest of Anambra-based lawyer, Adachukwu Chukelu-Okafor. Chukelu-Okafor is currently evading authorities after being accused of subjecting her 11-year-old house help to egregious abuse, including burning and mutilation of the child’s private parts with a hot-pressing iron and knife.

The announcement of this reward came during a press conference in Abuja, led by Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, the Minister of Women Affairs. Kennedy-Ohanenye emphasized the urgency of the situation, particularly in light of the graphic video footage that circulated online, revealing the extent of the incident.
