Four suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested in connection with the detention and torture of three young trainees who were learning the illicit business from them in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. Four Yahoo boys arrested for torturing three trainees over failed deal
The suspects, as assembled, tormented the three students for not prevailing with regards to swindling a casualty they tracked down on the internet; among the suspects was a lady supposed to be the spouse of the suspect.
A primer examination, as per the police, uncovered that the three students came from Imo State to learn internet fraud in Lagos.
The suspects are Israel Simon, Ruler Adam, Valuable City hall leader, and his significant other, Emmanuella.
Vanguard accumulated that one of the disciples who couldn’t bear the torment cautioned a companion, who reached the police at Igbogbo division.
The students, as indicated by police sources, said they were locked inside a room where City chairman supposedly beat them and caused wounds for them.
One of students (names kept) said, “We came from Imo State last month to learn Hurray. Mayor was introduced to us by someone. They confined us for eight days and instructed us to search the internet for victims.
“We were unable to get that. We were given a target to smash. Be that as it may, they said we didn’t do it admirably. Bitterly, we were secured in a room, told to pull off our garments, and were flagellated.
“We were informed that discipline was essential for the growing experience”.
Notwithstanding, when reached, the Lagos State Police Advertising Official, SP Benjamin Hudenyin, said the three disciples were captured close by the four suspects.
