A careless fire set on an undergrowth and refuse dump in Ilorin has resulted in the destruction of a block of classrooms at Grace International School in Tanke area and four rooms at Akumaju compound in Ita-Amodu area.

The Kwara State Fire Service responded to the incidents, but unfortunately, significant damage had already occurred. The fire at the school originated from an undergrowth deliberately set ablaze, while the fire at the compound started from a refuse dump that was set on fire. The Director of Kwara State Fire Service expressed condolences to those affected and emphasized the importance of public vigilance and safety consciousness in preventing similar incidents. It is crucial for citizens to remain vigilant and prioritize safety in their day-to-day activities.
