Nigeria: Family of four electrocuted in Taraba

A family of four in the Dinyavo area of Jalingo, Taraba state capital, has been shocked.

The occurrence, which allegedly occurred at around 11a.m. on Monday, has left occupants of the area in distress.

Representative of the state Police Order, Director Abdullahi Usman, who affirmed the episode, said the fatalities was because of force flood.

As indicated by him, “At around 11a.m., (today), data got from solid sources uncovered that a house situated at Dinyavoh area of Jalingo was ablaze.

“Analysts from GRA division Taraba Order were conveyed to the scene. On appearance, it was found that a group of four were found lying with consumes all around their body thought to be from electric shock.

“The victims are Mr. Remond Ofonbuk, 44; Mrs Mfonbong Remond; Heven Remond, male, 15, and First Remond, female, matured 13 years.

“Data has it that as power was reestablished, the transformer serving the region exploded and many houses inside the area experienced high electric voltage, which prompted the fire flare-up that caused consumes for the people in question.

“Be that as it may, investigators emptied the casualties to FMC Jalingo for therapy, yet they were affirmed dead by a clinical specialist.”

He further said the cadavers had been kept at the clinic’s morgue for dissection, while examination has started to learn the genuine reason for the episode.
