A Nigerian Masters student at Dundee University, Somtochukwu Okwuoha, faces potential jail and deportation after a jury found him guilty of making terrorist threats against the school. Okwuoha claimed he enlisted ISIS to bomb the university and expressed plans for a chemical attack on the city.
The 26-year-old, an international energy studies student, was convicted on seven charges and is currently in custody. Sentencing is scheduled for next month, and there’s a consideration for deportation to Nigeria.
Witnesses reported Okwuoha’s threats of mass murder on the university campus, alleging a military background and the capability to create bombs and release a deadly virus in the city.
